Temporary disk space requirement for SharePoint Server backups -
Description
Backups and restores using the NetVault plugin for SharePoint stage data to a configurable temporary directory before writing the data to tape.

Cause
If there isn't enough space in the temporary directory configured for the backup or restore, it will fail with the error:
"There is not enough disk space. Free additional space on your hard disk and then try again. Approximate amount of space needed: X GB. Amount of space free on disk: Y GB..."
X GB will be equivalent to the size of the data set being backed up. -
Resolution
As mentioned above, the space required in the temporary directory needs to be >= the data set being backed up.
