Description:
NDMP library (ex: Spectralogic 64K running NDMP) showing up offline in Device Management after reinstalling NetVault and copying back the NetVault Databases.
Symptoms:
Library shows red dot and no media slots appear.
After reinstalling NetVault and copying the MediaDatabase back the device tree of the previous installation will be put back as displayed by the Device Management. However, additional software configuration steps need to be taken to complete the process and allow the use of the previously added NDMP libraries.
1] Install the latest version of the NDMP plugin. (Download available from BakBone.com)
2] Add the library unit as a NDMP node to the plugin via the backup window. (Similar to adding filer nodes)
3] Check Device Management to be sure that the library is back online. If not then remove them and re-add as contact details to library may have changed from previous install.
