"Failed to find previous full backup index for set" during Oracle RMAN FULL backup. (4042408)

A "Failed to find previous full backup index for set" message is generated in the NetVault Backup logs when an Oracle RMAN FULL backup is completed.
 

The Oracle RMAN FULL backup job was created without a Selection Set.

Create a selection set for the backup job.

1. Start the NetVault Console.
2. Open the Backup window.
3. Activate the File menu and select Load.
4. Select the appropriate job then press OK.
5. At the bottom on the screen in the Backup Select Set section check the Modify box.
6. Click Save As.
7. Enter an appropriate name for the selection set.
8. Click OK to save the selection set.
9. Activate the File menu and select Save to save the job.
10. Click OK to overwrite the job.
