Lotus Notes Backup goes into Running State then sits idle (4042365)

Description:

Lotus Notes Backup job starts, status simply says, “Running”, and then just sits idle after that with no activity. No errors appearing of any kind either in Netvault or the Lotus Notes logs.

Verified that all configurations were correct and the plugin had worked before in the past.

Symptoms:

Lotus Notes Backup Job starts then sits in a “running state” with no activity.

It was discovered that the last backup that had run on this Database had hung up in the middle of it and current traces revealed that there was an orphaned process in Lotus Notes because of this.

Rebooting the Notes Server cleared up the issue.
