Description
Its been observed while trying to reconfigure the Netvault Library ( physical most likely ) after a drop in connection Un planned reboot or server or tape library not reachable

Cause
Netvault while trying to reconfigure has the previous configurations and wont be able to communicate with the library even though the drive appears online from the Operating system -
Resolution
1. Check for Medium changer & drive status from operating system
2. Delete the existing devices from the Manage devices Tab
3. Configure the Tape library for new " Scan the devices even if the status shows 1-25700
4. Stop the Netvault service
5. Down the Netvault server
6. Bring down the Device ( tape library )
7. Start the Netvault server
8. Bring up the Device ( Usually takes time and await light to change green from amber )
9. Configure the device from the Manage device tab
From Linux the same can be done from txtconfig
txtconfig resides in the …\bin directory
Upon launch Txtconfig open the Machine page, which displays the NVBU Client details.
To view the configuration options and change the settings, do the following:
●Choose option 16 and follow the same option as mentioned above. -
