Changing the display name for incoming/outgoing replication core -
Description
In case the display name is incorrect for either the incoming replication core on the source core and the outgoing replication core on the target core, then you may follow the steps below to change the display name via the registry. There is not a way to perform this change in the core web UI. -
Cause
Once Replication has been set up, you cannot change the display names. -

Make sure you back up the registry before modifying it. To resolve this issue, please perform the following steps:
- On the source core:
- Open the Registry Editor and browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\AppRecovery\Core\Replication\RemoteCores\Slaves\
- For the "HostName" dword, change the value.
- Restart the core service.
- On the target core,
- Open the Registry Editor and browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\AppRecovery\Core\Replication\RemoteCores\Master\
- For the "HostName" dword, change the value.
- Restart the core service.
Once the above steps are completed, refresh the core web UI and the new display name will load.
