When forcing a manual log truncation it fails at the end with the following error:
WORKAROUND:
1) Stop the agent service
2) Open disk manager
3) Right click on each volume then properties
4) Click on shadow copie tab and make sure that they are set to no limit
5) Open a admin command prompt
6) Run vssadmin list shadows and verify shadows are located on the volumes.
7) Run a vssadmin delete shadows /all to remove the shadows
8) run vssadmin list writers to check status of exchange writer.
9) Force log truncation.
For WIN 7
1) Stop the agent service
2) Open a admin command prompt
3) Run vssadmin list shadows and verify shadows are located on the volumes.
4) Run the following command: vssadmin add shadowstorage /for=z: /on=c: /maxsize=unbounded
There are some Windows versions when the option "add" is not available in tha case use the next syntax.
vssadmin resize shadowstorage /for=z: /on=c: /maxsize=unbounde
5) Run a vssadmin delete shadows /all to remove the shadows
6) run vssadmin list writers to check status of exchange writer.
7) Force log truncation.
