If replications fails due to a time out, it will restart until it is successful. This can result in multiple replications to be backed up, or trying to catch up so the source core and the target core are in sync. This can occur if the network bandwidth doesn’t have the capacity to support the size of the snapshot or if there isn’t enough network bandwidth resources assigned to the source core (i.e. Traffic-ing) on the network.
The best way to validate if the network contains enough bandwidth for replication is to use one of the available calculators. This will provide an estimate of the time required to copy the incremental snapshots to the Target Core. These calculators are available at the following links:
