DEBUG folder contains only LogPacker.log, or existing log files are not being updated after an upgrade to QCS 2.0.3 was performed. Event ID: 10005 error can be found in QCS server's System Event Log:
"DCOM got error "The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it. " attempting to start the service Quest Collaboration Services Logging Service with arguments "" in order to run the server:
This was recognized as a product upgrade mechanism defect and will be fixed in the next release. Please refer to the resolution section for a workaround.
Please follow these steps to resolve this issue. On the QCS console:
1. Stop QCS Logging Service.
2. Open command prompt, change location to QCS installation folder and run the following command: ACSLogServer.exe -service
3. Ensure QCS Logging Service is set to Automatic and start it.
IMPORTANT: If after performing step #2 QCS Logging Service will become Disabled, it means it was marked for deletion and server needs to be rebooted. This is part of operating system architecture when adding and removing new services. Please perform the reboot and execute steps 2-3 again.
