'Export to Flat file' option 'Spaces between fields'' is not creating the correct number of spaces between fields in the resulting flat file. (33688)

When creating a flat file, the number set for the spaces between fields option is not the number of spaces between fields in the flat file.   For example, the option is set to have zero spaces between fields, but it is still putting a space between the fields.

1. A spec file that has a different  value for this option as what is set in the window is loaded.   So even though the value in the window is set, the flat file is still created with what the value is set for in the spec file.

2. The 'Spaces between fields' option is set AFTER the 'Generate Columns' button is clicked.

RESOLUTION 1:

Create a new spec file with the number of spaces between fields set to the desired value.  

or

After loading spec file, change spaces between fields to desired value, and select the generate columns button.

RESOLUTION 2:

If the number of spaces required between fields is different to the default (1), then set this value first before clicking the 'Generate Columns' button.
