I've recently moved my older XRT PDS installation to a new machine. Now, when I try to run xrt_cpuid to find the new CPUID so I can transfer my license, I get the following error:
"Can't get local address: No such device or address"
How can I resolve this.
HPUX changed the way they report and handle network devices in HPUX 11.x, which our older licensing software cannot utilize.
You need to get the latest licensing software from XRT, and copy the license binaries only (all files matching $XRTHOME/bin/xrt*) to your old installation. This will allow you to continue to use your old PDS version if needed, but the licensing software will be able to resolve a CPUID properly.
You can download XRT PDS 2.3.0 from the following URL:
https://support.quest.com/SUPPORT/index?page=downloads
Enter XRT into the field, and you will be shown a page of all available XRT downloads. Download and install the appropriate XRT build for HPUX, and copy the licensing binaries across to your old installation directory.
