In Performance Analysis Oracle, how do stop performance advisories evaluation and stop the QUEST -
Description
Performance Advisories option is not a compulsory option and the Performance Advisories page is enabled through license. However, during the Performance Analysis installation, advisories related components are installed, with default behaviour to collect and evaluate data as part of the information in Performance Advisories page.
If I do not want the QUEST_ADV% tables to keep growing since Performance Advisories option is not enabled, is it possible to stop the Advisories collection or the advisories evaluation? -
Cause
Performance Advisories related components are installed and the default behaviour is to collect and evaluate data as part of the information for Performance Advisories page. -
Resolution
Through the Performance Analysis Agent Administration module (click on the gear icon), then select the Advisories option, and then select the General tab. Click on the Pause button in the Advisories Status. Then click OK to exit from the Agent Administration module.
This action stops the Advisories data evaluation and as a result the QUEST_ADV% table stops growing.
