What is the difference in the PST file formats on the 'Specify PST Output Root Directory' dialog?
There are two output options for PST file formats:
- Use Outlook 97-2002 Personal Folders File (.pst): Tells the program to format the .pst files in this format, which supports up to 2GB of data. A new PST file will be created if the 2GB limit is reached.
- Use Office Outlook Personal Folders file (.pst): Tells the program to format the .pst files in this format, which supports up to 20GB of data. This option requires that Outlook 2003 or greater be installed on the migration machine. (The option will appear grayed-out, as an unavailable choice, if Outlook 2003 or greater is not installed.)
