When I start or launch Toad, I get the error: "CodeXpert files are missing. Please contact Quest support."
RESOLUTION 1:
Code Xpert files are not included in the read only install of Toad. If a registered key is a Professional or Xpert edition key, the user will be prompted with this message upon launch and connection of Toad. If Code Xpert is not used then this should not be a problem.
To avoid this message, close the Code Xpert tab. In the Editor window, right-click over the result output tabs, select SQL Editor Desktop or Desktop Panels, and uncheck Code Xpert. The tab and the error should not return in the next session of Toad.
If you need to use Code Xpert you will need to download and install the Commercial Version of Toad from http://support.quest.com, navigate to Downloads and Updates.
RESOLUTION 2:
If you are not using the Read-Only version of Toad and you are getting the mentioned error message, perform a complete uninstall and reinstall of Toad.
