When trying to connect to Foglight via https, the following error appears in the browser:
---
Your connection is not private.
[...]
This server could not prove that it is MyServerName.MyDomain.com; its security certificate is from [missing_subjectAltName]. This may be caused by a misconfiguration or an attacker intercepting your connection.
---
The used certificate has not set the Subject Alternative Name.
When using a CNAME (alias), the Subject Alternative Name (SAN) needs to be set for both, host name and CNAME.
Please create a certificate where the Subject Alternative Name is set properly.
Once the new certificate is created, import it into Foglight, the steps are here.
Additional details regarding the browser error can be found in these articles from github.com and superuser.com.
