When EMW Calendar Synchronization Agent is running, many EXCDO errors or warnings appear in the Application Event Log file of the target Exchange server involved in the calendar synchronization with one or more of the following Event Ids:
Event Type: Warning
Event Source: EXCDO
Event Category: General
Event ID: 8241
Event Type: Error
Event Source: EXCDO
Event Category: General
Event ID: 8201
Event Type: Error
Event Source: EXCDO
Event Category: General
Event ID: 8209
EventType: Error
EventSource: EXCDO
Event Category: General
Event ID: 8206
Description normally is:
Calendaring agent failed in folder save notification with error 0x8004010a
Calendaring agent failed with error code 0x8004010a while cleaning up the calendar.
Calendaring agent failed with error code 0x80070005 while saving appointment
An existing appointment with the subject "" in mailbox user@company.com was modified. The start time, or both the duration and end time of the existing appointment were missing
When the CSA runs it opens a blank message template and then begins to add the data into the template. During this time it is possible that Exchange determines there is something wrong with the item as it is blank and logs the warning in the Application Event Log.
These errors can be safely ignored and are self-correcting. When there are fewer appointments to synchronize, the number of such errors will go down significantly.
Please note that Calendaring Agent mentioned in the error is not the Quest Calendar Agent but in fact Microsoft Exchange Calendaring Agent.
