Layout drop-down box on the Report tab of a Search is disabled (grayed-out) and cannot be modified even though other settings on the tab can be changed.
The purpose of the Layout drop-down box is for selecting a global Report Layout that is created on the "Administration Tasks" tab.
The Layout drop-down box is expected to be disabled if the "Design Report" tool bar button on the Report tab is used to define a custom report layout.
When the "Design Report" button on the Report tab is clicked and the layout is saved, the Search\Report is no longer using a global Report Layout. It is using a customized layout specific to the Search\Report which is saved in the Query.ReportMail database table. The graying-out of the Layout drop-down, is an indication that a custom layout is used rather than a global Report Layout.
Remove the custom report layout and enable Layout drop-down box by clicking the "Reset" button on the Report tab.
* Please note that all Report setting on the Report tab will be reset.
Enhancement request number TF00652341 has been submitted to Development for consideration in a future release of Change Auditor. The Enhancement request will prevent the Layout drop-down box from being disabled and allow the template to be changed after a custom template is defined.
