Does spotlight create a restore point before it applies a collection schedule template?
Description

Spotlight 11.5 introduced the collection schedule template. Does Spotlight setup a restore point when a template gets applied?
Resolution

WORKAROUND:
Spotlight does not automatically create a restore point when you apply a created template. You will need to automatically create your own restore point using the existing template feature prior to applying another template.
1. Go to "Configure | Scheduling"
2. Click on "Save as template"
3. Call the template name "Restore Point May 9" or anything you like
Any time you loose the current setup, you can restore it as follows:
1. Go to "Configure | Scheduling"
2. Change the drop down from "Factory Settings (Template)" to the restore point template you created
3. Click on "Apply Configuration To"
4. Check "All" and click "Next

Enhancement request has been submitted to Development for consideration in a future release of Spotlight on SQL Server Enterprise.
