Error: TgtConnectorWriter error: An error occured while creating the object 'user@domain.com' (186332)

When running the Directory connector from Domino to Exchange the fallowing error is seen in the logs:

Cause 1:

Coexistence Manager for Notes (CMN) is not able to write a value to an AD attribute, this can be because the value being entered violates data restrictions of for that attribute, for example it is too long, or has a character that is not allowed.

Cause 2:

This could also be because the attribute does not exist.

Cause 3:

The target Active Directory OU that has been selected in the CMN Directory Connector wizard already has user, or other objects with the same names. This issue can occur if the default "Name Rules" have been replaced with a script that may not always generate unique object names.

Resolution 1 and 2:

1. Run the connector with the “Do not Commit changes” box checked.
2. Look for the object that is not being created, you should see all the attributes and the corresponding values that CMN will try to write to it.
3. In AD create a contact using the values obtained from the logs. This should not succeed because of one or more of values or attribute.

Resolution 3:

1. Check the target Active Directory OU for existing objects with the same name.
2. Generally speaking, we would recommend creating a new target OU in Active Directory, with no existing objects for CMN contacts.
3. Use the default Directory Connector Name Rules, which use the SMTP address in an attempt to ensure unique object names.
