Error received when performing an AD Object Merge with Notes Migrator for Exchange (NME):
"ERROR: [7436-1-95-00000000] Object found does not have connector proxyAddresses"
These errors are seen despite the correct values being in place in the tsv file for the object merge process.
The error can be caused if the Notes contact created in the Active Directory Global Address List was done manually and not by the notes connector. In this case, the contact will be missing a UID proxy address (but may still have a NOTES proxy address) and/or an importedFrom attribute value.
Because the NOTES proxy address is present for the contact, mailflow will still occur, but merging of the contact with the security object using the AD Object merge process will not be possible.
In the Global Default Setting, ensure/add the following values are present under the [ActiveDirectory] section:
The first value tells the program to verify that each contact was imported from the Microsoft Notes Connector or the Microsoft Transporter Suite. If a contact was created manually, the program will skip the contact and report an error. By turning this behavior off, NME will merge manually created contacts as well.
**Please note that the 'importedFrom' Active Directory attribute is populated by the Microsoft Notes Connector or the Microsoft Transporter Suite at the time of the object creation (via the Directory Synchronization). The importedFrom attribute contains a GUID value of the Microsoft Notes Connector or the Microsoft Transporter Suite that created the object.**
The second value tells the program to ensure that each contact contains two notes addresses. This is because the Microsoft Notes Connector or the Microsoft Transporter Suite normally creates two notes proxy addresses with each contact.
Once both the above parameters are turned off, NME should be able to merge contacts created manually with AD security objects instead of requiring the contacts to be created by the Microsoft Notes Connector or the Microsoft Transporter Suite .
