After upgrading Linux FglAM to V5.8.2 "Too many open files" messages start to be reported after a few days.
Once the "Too many open files" messages are reported the FglAM and the agents running from the FglAM stop working.
The open file limit was increased to 2048 and then to 4096 but the "Too many open files" messages continue to be reported.
Various error messages referencing "Too many open files" are reported in the FglAM logs. Following is an example error message:
