A Microsoft Windows update release around the time of May 12, 2015 may cause Spotlight 10.5 client to crash. The crash happens under these conditions when clicking on any monitored SQL Server in the connection list or Heat Map. The crash may also happen when just starting Spotlight. This crash occurs despite port 40403 being opened and having .NET 4.5.2 already.

Spotlight 11 does not have a conflict with this last Microsoft Windows patch. When upgrading, please review the Release Notes to make sure there are no intermediate Spotlight version that must be upgraded to before the desired upgrade version. For example, v10.5 cannot be upgraded to v11.2 directly. This is the order that must be taken: 10.5 to 11.1 to 11.2. Also, it is a best practice to let Spotlight run 24 hours before the next upgrade.
