Rollback of a volume in AppAssure fails with the following error
TevoRestoreVolume failed with error -2147024891 (0x80070005 - Access is denied)
From the AppAssure logs the following similar events occur :
“Replay.Common.Contracts.ReplayEngine.ReplayEngineUnavailableException: The core is unreachable via <Core-IPaddress>:8007 ---> Replay.Common.Contracts.ReplayEngine.ReplayEngineAuthenticationException: Authentication failed ---> System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond”
“Job 'Rolling back volume 'E:\'' failed
System.AggregateException: One or more errors occurred. ---> Replay.Common.Contracts.TevoLib.TevoLibraryErrorException: TevoRestoreVolume failed with error -2147024891 (0x80070005 - Access is denied)”
To resolve please attempt the following:
1 From Control Panel select System
2 In the system window click on the link “Advanced System Settings” displayed in the left pane.
3 Click on the “Settings” button under the Performance section.
4 Navigate to the “Advanced” tab and click on the “Change” button under Virtual Memory.
5 Uncheck the check box “Automatically manage paging file size for all drives.
6 Highlight the volume that is failing rollback
7 Select the radio button “No Paging File” and click on the “Set” button and reboot the server.
Note: After the Rollback job has completed you will be able to re-enable the Paging file on the volume.
