The following error may be received when entering credentials on the Groupwise System Information screen (Directory Exporter):
ERROR: Unable to login to GroupWise as user username. Please check your user ID.
Please verify that the supplied credentials include the GroupWise password for this user and not the Novell password. If the issue persists, proceed to NWAdmin or ConsoleONE and reset the GroupWise password for this user and try again. If the password has been verified to exist and allow access to Groupwise then please try the Directory Export while Groupwise is open.
Use a mapped drive to browse to the Groupwise domain.
Verify the admin account used has a valid mailbox in GroupWise
It may help to use a GroupWise startup switch which forces the display of a login dialog box, asking for a User ID and password, whenever the GroupWise client is launched. The steps are:
1) Right click on the GroupWise client icon (on the migration machine desktop), and select Properties from the context menu.
2) Add /@u-? to the grpwise.exe target command i.e. populate the Target field as C:\Novell\GroupWise\GrpWise.exe /@u-? .
3) Click OK.
