When migrating mailboxes with Migrator for GroupWise, is there a way to migrate mailboxes or archives that are remote?
It is possible to migrate remote mailboxes and archives by taking the following steps:
To migrate remote mailboxes do the following:
1. Run the End User mode from the users desktop, ensuring the following is set in the gwdtapp.ini file:
This will force the GroupWise client/API to access the remote mailbox instead of the account on the server.
To migrate remote mailbox archives, do either of the following:
1. Unarchive the data back into the remote mailbox, and then run the migration process.
2. Put the archive on some media, and physically send it to some central location where the Admin-Driven Batch Migrator can be run. For this method, ensure the FID of the Archive matches the FID of the user being migrated. If they are different, use the FID Editor to accomplish this.
