“SNMP Trap monitoring credentials must be set” Error Message when Trying to Enable SSL -
Description
An “SNMP Trap monitoring credentials must be set” error message will appear at the top of a partially loaded security settings page after you click on the “Deploy Self-Signed Certificate” button and the certificate fails to deploy. -
Cause
Partially complete form on the same page where the SSL settings are saved. -
Resolution
Uncheck the box labeled “Enable SNMP Trap monitoring” to disable it prior to enabling SSL. It may be re-enabled afterwards.
If a message stating “There are SNMP enabled devices currently being monitored. Disabling SNMP trap monitoring is not allowed at this time.” Comes up when trying to disable SNMP trap monitoring, go to Monitoring – Devices, Click on Choose Action, disable monitoring and try again.
