Problem Description 

Windows 7 64 bit machines may fail to map network printers.

Cause

The most common reason for printers failing to map on a Windows 7 64 bit workstation is that the printer driver is not compatible with the operating system.

Resolution

Create a printer on the print server that uses a 64 bit printer driver. Create an element in Desktop Authority for the printer you created. Set validation logic on the new printer: Computer Information | Platform Type | 64 Bit Platform.
