Remote Access Failed Error
The account being used may not have permission to logon to the computer and cannot authenticate to it using remote control. Verify this by using a Windows remote desktop to connect to the workstation.
Obtain the proper permissions or use an account that has the proper permissions to access the target computer, check the Remote Desktop Users (RDU) local group on the affected machine or perform the following procedure:
For Windows 7, 10 and Windows Server 2008R2:
In Control Panel, click System and Security, and then click System.
On the System page, click Remote Settings in the left pane. This opens the System Properties dialog box to the Remote tab.
For Windows 8.1 Pro and Windows Server 2012R2 and above:
Start/Search, and type in the word “remote”.
From the options provided as a result of the search, select “Allow remote access to your computer”. This will open the System Properties dialog box to the Remote tab.
Then follow these steps to enable Remote Desktop.
