Desktop Authority console closes unexpectedly. Windows system error is returned.
APPCRASH: Application Name: SLMgr.exe
Faulting Module: svmgrctl.ocx
No error is to be found in the SLtrace_Mgr.log.
The module svmgrctl.ocx can be registered by running the following command:
32-bit systems:
Regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\ScriptLogic Manager\SvMgrCtl.ocx"
64-bit systems:
Regsvr32 "C:\Program Files (x86)\ScriptLogic Manager\SvMgrCtl.ocx"
However, the Desktop Authority console again quits with the above error when the user attempts to open it.
One of the Domain Controllers that has the Desktop Authority service installed has insufficient swap space on the boot disk. C:\ has empty space that allows the server to boot. But, even though the ActiveX control svmgrctl.ocx can be registered, Windows fails to install the module, which causes the Desktop Authority module to quit.
Remove the existing Desktop Authority installation, or call Technical Support for instructions on setting the slmgr.ini to “Install” mode. Remove files or applications from the problem Domain Controller before installing Desktop Authority again.
If it is not possible to delete or copy files off the problem Domain Controller, install Desktop Authority again. Connect to the existing databases, but when prompted to “Discover” Domain Controllers on the site, select “No”.
Add Domain Controllers one at a time from Global Options | Server Manager. DO NOT add the Domain Controller that is resource constrained.
