This can occur if the name given to the Signature in Desktop Authority contains a special character that Windows will not allow to be used in the naming of a file. In the example below a “/” was used.

Verify that the name assigned in Desktop Authority also conforms with Windows requirements, and does not use special characters. To test this, create a text document and assign it the name intended for your signature, if Windows accepts it, then it is allowable in Desktop Authority.
