VMware Workstation Pro & Player Patches on the KACE Catalog -
Description
With the recent acquisition of VMWare by Broadcom, some changes have been done to how patches/software are provided by them.
Some of their products won't be available on the KACE Catalog moving forward. -
Cause
Broadcom acquired VMWare Inc, and has now added an account authentication to download patches. This prevents us from retrieving the patches from their website. -
Resolution
The last version available from our catalog, for each product will be as follows:- VMWare Workstation 17.5.2 Pro
- VMWare Workstation Player 17.5.2 Pro
The following VMWare Products will still be available for new patches:- VMWare Fusion for Mac
- VMWare Horizon Client (Windows and Mac)
- VMWare Tools
- VMware Remote Console
