Back Up Spotlight Configuration Data

Change the Maintenance Schedule for the Playback and Spotlight Statistics Repository Databases

Note: This feature is available only in Spotlight on SQL Server Enterprise.

The Spotlight Diagnostic Server can automatically run maintenance procedures for the playback database and Spotlight Statistics Repository. Due to the nature of these databases, it is highly recommended that regular maintenance is performed to maintain efficient data retrieval.

By default, the Spotlight Diagnostic Server runs maintenance procedures for the playback database and Spotlight Statistics Repository daily at 3am.

Note: Scheduling automatic maintenance is just one step in the recommended maintenance plan for the Spotlight Statistics Repository and playback database. See "Maintenance Plan for Spotlight Statistics Repository and Playback Database" (page 1) for more information.

To change the maintenance schedule

Click Configure | Diagnostic server.
Select Configure the maintenance schedule for the playback and Spotlight Statistics Repository databases.
Use the options to change the maintenance schedule.
