This grid shows the individual buffer pools created for the cache selected on the Data Cache grid.
Use the Buffer Pool grid to validate the buffer pool configuration for the cache (utilization, strategy, performance, etc.).
The following table describes the columns on the grid:
Column |
Description |
Pool Page Size |
The page size for the pool. In any cache, you can have only one pool of each I/O size. The minimum size for a memory pool is the size of the server's logical page. Memory pools larger than this must be a power of two, and can be a maximum size of one extent. |
Memory Allocation (KB) |
The size in Kilobytes of the memory pool. After pools are created, you can move space between them. |
Physical Reads |
The number of buffers read into the pool from disk. |
Pages Touched |
The number of pages that have been used within the pool. |
Logical Reads |
Number of buffers that have been read from the pool (on ASE 16 or later). |
Physical Writes |
Number of write operations performed for data in this pool (on ASE 16 or later). Multiple pages may have been written in a single write operation. |
Pages Read |
The number of pages read into the pool. |
Buffers - MRU |
The number of buffers fetched and replaced at the Most Recently used portion of the pool. |
Buffers - LRU |
The number of buffers fetched and replaced at the Least Recently Used portion of the pool. |
Dirty Buffers |
The number of "dirty" buffer retrievals. |
