Adding a new database role

Open the SQL Server Security module.

Select Database Roles, and select Tools | New.
Right-click Database Roles, and choose New.

To assign permissions to the role, open the Permissions tab. Use the scroll bar or adjust the panes as necessary to view the contents.

Removing a database role

You can change the members of a role and its permission.

Right-click Users, and choose New.

Open the Roles membership tab to select database roles.
