This article describes how to change the InTrust Service account username and/or password.
1a. If you want to use a different account for the Quest InTrust Server service, grant the appropriate rights to the new account in AD and on each InTrust Server in the org (see DVD\Documentation\InTrust\InTrust_SystemRequirements.htm and other documents) for rights and group membership information for this account.
1b. If are using the same service account but are resetting/changing the password associated with this account, reset the password in AD.
2. Run the utility referenced below with the appropriate switches (sample usage is included as well)
For Intrust 11.x:
%Root%\Program Files (x86)\Quest\InTrust\Server\ADC\SupportTools
For Intrust 10.x:
%Root%\Program Files\Quest Software\InTrust\Server\ADC\SupportTools
For Intrust 9.x:
%Root%\Program Files\Quest Software\InTrust\Server\ADC\SupportTools.
For Intrust 8.x:
%Root%\Program Files\Quest Software\InTrust\Server\ADC.
Usage:
adcsrvacc.exe -user <user> [-password <password>|-interactive] [-restart] [-nocheck]
For example if you run
adcsrvacc.exe -user domain\username -restart
this will update the username for the Quest InTrust Server and Quest InTrust Real-time Monitoring Server (but not the Quest InTrust Agent as that runs under LocalSystem) to domain\username, prompt you for password at the command line and restart the services related to the Quest InTrust application, namely Quest InTrust Server (adcrpcs), Quest InTrust Agent (adcscm) and Quest InTrust Real-Time Monitoring Server (itrt_svc).
adcsrvacc.exe [-help]
Print this screen.
Options:
