Running Quest Knowledge Portal or InTrust Knowledge Portal report results in an error similar to the following:
An internal error occurred on the report server
Additionally, a minidump file is generated in the SRSlog filesinstallation directory and an error message that resembles the following error message is logged in the Reporting Services log file:

Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services (SSRS) on a computer that has multiple processors. Or, you install Reporting Services on a computer that has one or more multicore processors.
This problem occurs if Reporting Services calls theQueryPerformanceCounterfunction to query the system time. The function incorrectly returns negative time duration values.
This is a known issue for MS SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services on computer with multiple processors resolvedin Cumulative Update Pack 5. Please review the following links for update directions or documented workaround provided by Microsoft.
