Description
When running a Gathering job where InTrust Agents write events to the Repository and Database, the Gathering process fails and InTrust agents report an error similar to the following:Description: Failed to insert event to database. ADC Error: Invalid GUID: ''. -
Cause
The database object may be improperly referenced within the Gathering job. -
Resolution
- Go to the Gathering job in InTrust Manager | Workflow | Tasks
- Right-click the impacted Gathering Job and select Properties
- Confirm that the Database object referenced in the field that corresponds to the "Database" is valid
- If the server is invalid, click the '...' button and select the correct database
- If the server is valid, click the '...' button and re-select the database from the list of available databases ensuring that there is only one listed with that name and the Server and Database columns are correct
- Click OK
- Click OK on the Gathering job
- Commit changes and re-run the gathering job
