Description
When attempting to gather Oracle Standard Audit trail with an ODBC Proxy, an error similar to the following is recorded in the failed gathering session:
Errors encountered at data collection. ADC Error: Failed to collect from network object. (Internal error: Failed to enumerate event logs. (Cannot connect to specified database.[Oracle][ODBC][Ora]ORA-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error )) -
Cause
Incorrect ODBC driver is used in the gathering. -
Resolution
- Ensure that the "ODBC Connection String" specified on the "Connection String" tab of the datasource (InTrust Manager | Configuration | Data Sources) used in the InTrust Gathering job has the following specified for the driver:
DRIVER={Microsoft ODBC for Oracle};
- Ensure the 32 bit Microsoft ODBC driver for Oracle is installed on the server used as an ODBC Proxy (cannot be the 64-bit driver)
