Description
Since GPOADmin does not use secure LDAP over TLS/SSL, it should be known how exactly GPOADmin will use LDAP functionality in order to identify security compliance. -
Resolution
GPOADmin uses LDAP to enumerate GPOs, SOMs, WMI Filters, reading and setting security on these object as well.
It also uses LDAP to retrieve data for some of the reports.
It also creates an Application Partition in Active Directory used in the Group Policy Modeling report.If AD or AD LDS are used as the configuration store then GPOADmin specific data is stored in the Configuration store.If AD or AD LDS are used as the backup store then object backups are stored in the Configuration store.
