Attempting to upgrade to GPOADmin 5.11.1 produces error "Service 'GPOADmin Service (QGPMService failed to start" or "A later version of Quest GPOADmin is already installed" -
Description
Attempting to upgrade to GPOADmin 5.11.1 causes the below errors to occur:
"Service 'GPOADmin Service' (QGPMService) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services"
-or-
"A later version of Quest GPOADmin is already installed"

Cause
This can be caused by having updates (Update 1, 2 or 3) applied to version 5.11. -
Resolution
Cancel the existing installation and open "Programs and Features". Click on "View installed updates" on the left hand side and ensure that no updates are installed for GPOADmin 5.11. If any exist, uninstall them and attempt the upgrade to 5.11.1 again. If no updates exist attempt the upgrade again. If the error persists, please contact Quest Support at 1-800-306-9329.
Once the upgrade has completed, connect to the prexisting configuration in the Configuration Store (AD or AD LDS). The SMTP settings and Preferred Domain Controller will need to be reconfigured.
