Get-PreferredDomainControllers and Set-PreferredDomainControllers can be used in changing the preferred DC from powershell.
Is there an option to remove Preferred domain controller from powershell?
WORKAROUND
The preferred Domain controller entries can be removed in the GPOADmin console, or using the value specifed in the registry hive:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Quest Software\Quest Group Policy Manager\ServerConfig\PreferredDomainControllers
RESOLUTION
This is resolved in all supported versions of GPOADmin.
