How rows are displayed in the Tablespaces tab depends on whether a database partition or a database is selected for monitoring in the Live connections list.
When a partition is selected, the Tablespaces tab lists all tablespaces defined on that partition. Tablespace rows are presented on one level.
When a database is selected, the Tablespaces tab lists all tablespaces defined on that database. Tablespace rows are presented on two levels in a tree view:
Aggregate rowThe top level row is an aggregate row. This row shows consolidated information for a tablespace across all database partitions on which it is defined. It provides an overview of the current state of the tablespace across these partitions. If a column contains numeric values, the aggregate row shows the sum for all partitions. If a column contains values that cannot be aggregated or do not have meaning on an aggregate basis, the aggregate row is blank. —
Partition rows—Lower level rows show statistics for the tablespace as it exists on individual partitions. If a tablespace is defined on multiple partitions, a row for each partition descends from the aggregate row. If a tablespace is defined on one partition or if it resides in a single-partition database, only one row descends from the aggregate row.
Tip: Initially, aggregate rows are collapsed. Click the + button beside an aggregate row to expand its list of tablespace rows.
