When forwarding an archived email message from the Archive Manager Web Interface, the following error is displayed:
“This message is larger than the current system limit or the recipient's mailbox is full. Create a shorter message body or remove attachments and try sending it again.”
The archived message being forwarded exceeds the maximum message size limit configured in Microsoft Exchange.
When Archive Manager forwards a message, it submits the message back to Exchange for delivery. Exchange enforces its configured maximum send/receive message size limits, and if the archived message (including attachments and headers) exceeds these limits, Exchange rejects the message.
WORKAROUND:
Verify the size of the archived message
Confirm whether the message size exceeds the configured Exchange message size limits.
Adjust Exchange message size limits (if appropriate)
Increase the maximum send and receive size limits in Exchange to accommodate the message.
This may need to be configured at one or more levels, such as:
Organization
Send/Receive connectors
Mailbox or mailbox database
Reduce the message size
Remove large attachments from the message before forwarding.
Forward the message content without attachments if possible.
Check recipient mailbox quota
Ensure the recipient mailbox is not full and can accept new messages.
After ensuring the message complies with Exchange size and quota limits, retry forwarding the message from the Archive Manager website.
