Network I/O spinner shows 0 value at vCenter level in vmExplorer dashboard
The metric used by the Network I/O Spinner for the VirtualCenter is the sum of the networkUsagebps metric for all Datacenters in the VirtualCenter. In turn, this metric for Datacenters is the sum of the Network Usage metric for all ESX Hosts in the Datacenter. You can check this metric for an ESX Host by selecting it in the VMware Client. Then, go to the Performance tab, click Advanced, click Options, choose Network (Realtime), select the ESX Host from the objects, and then select the 'Usage' metric in the list of metrics.
If the "usage" metric for all ESX hosts in the vCenter does not have a value in vCenter then vFoglight is not going to get any data either and as a result it will dispaly a value of "0". This is a VMware issue and a support will need to opend with them to investigate it further.
