Data is being collected, but is not being fed into Foglight, therefore no data is showing within the VMWare dashboards. When reviewing the VMWare Agent logs, there are mutiple entries that indicate the following:
Failed to send VMW:VMWMetrics to http://host:8080/foglight-xml-adapter/tree-data with Error : ProtocolError The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found
WORKAROUND:
Change the HTTP port to another port that may not be conflicting within the environment.
For example, configure the VMWare Agent to connect to port 8081.
This port can be changed by navigating to Windows Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs | vFoglight VMWare Infrastructure Agent | Change.
Once a window pops up, select "Modify" - this will bring up another window to enable the configuration of the connection port.
