HTTP status 404 error when trying to launch vFoglight console after upgrading to ver 6.6
FMS log shows :
2011-11-16 17:00:30.518 ERROR [main] org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.[jboss.web].[localhost].[/console] - Error configuring application listener of class com.quest.nitro.admin.ui.ConsoleLifecycleListener
Installtion log shows:
Delete Folder: Source:server
Status: WARNING
Additional Notes: WARNING - There was a problem deleting D:\Program Files\vizioncore\vFoglight\server The installer was not able to delete this folder. -
Cause
Most likely the server was not completely shut down during the upgrade based upon warning in the Install log and s a result it looks like there are remnants of old code that are still lingering around

Resolution
1. Shutdown FMS server and confirm that it shuts down successfully
2. Run the upgrade steps again. Ensure to select Custom Install option and point to current vFogight install location otherwise the installer will perform a fresh install rather than an upgrade
3. Start the server and confirm proper operation.
If the console page still does not launch then contact Quest Support for further investigation
