QUESTION:
When setting up the Exchange agent does the "remote script host" have to be enabled only on the Exchange server being monitored, or does it have to be enabled on the Exchange server and the DC that the properties of the Exchange agent point to? The Exchange cartridge documentation is little confusing on this point.
The following is listed under the "Prerequisites" under the System Requirements section of the Release Notes:
"The remote script host must be enabled on all Domain Controllers."
The following is stated on page 19 of the Installation guide under the "Prerequisites and Troubleshooting Tips" section:
"remote execution of scripts must be enabled on all Exchange servers."
ANSWER: "remote script host" must be enabled on both the Exchange hosts and the Domain controller.
STATUS: Enhancement request FDOC-2740 has been submitted to Development for consideration in a future release of the Foglight Exchange agent documentation.
FDOC-2740 was logged to request that the Exchange agent Release Notes and Installation Guide be updated to make it clear that "remote script host" must be enabled on both the Exchange hosts and the Domain controller.
