• Monitoring virtual switches. A Hyper-V virtual switch is a software-based layer-2 Ethernet network switch. The switch connects virtual machines to virtual and physical networks. Foglight for Hyper-V now allows you to monitor virtual switches. The Hyper-V Environment dashboard now includes a set of virtual switch views. • Monitoring SCVMMs.
  • A System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM) allows you to manage host, networking, and storage resources when creating and deploying virtual machines to virtual clouds. Foglight for Hyper-V now allows you to monitor SCVMMs. The Hyper-V Environment dashboard now includes a set of SCVMM views.   •  The SCVMM Agent is added to Foglight for Hyper-V. SCVMM Agents collect information from  System Center Virtual Machine Managers (VMM). For more information about this agent, see the Foglight for Hyper-V User and Reference Guide. (VFOG-9914)
• Monitoring storage. A Microsoft Windows Cluster Shared Volume (CSV) is a shared disk available for read and write operations by all nodes within a Windows Server Failover Cluster (a group of computers that provides continued service when system components fail. Foglight for Hyper-V now allows you to monitor Cluster Shared Volumes. The Hyper-V Environment dashboard now includes a set of storage views. • Foglight Resource Optimizer. The Optimizer tab on the Hyper-V Environment dashboard allows you to get insight into capacity bottlenecks and management. Use this tab when you want to optimize the CPU, memory, network, and storage consumption, and to project and plan for additional requirements in your environment. • Alarm improvements. Hyper-V alarms are improved in this release to better alert users of potential performance bottlenecks. (VFOG-9885)
• Agent Setup wizard improvements.
  • The Agent Setup wizard's Prepare page is updated to include additional information about the available scripts. (VFOG-11869)
  • A domain configuration (GPO) script is now accessible through the Agent Setup wizard. On Windows 2012 R2 or later, use this script to quickly configure multiple hosts within the same domain. (VFOG-9549)
• Replication mode. Specific information about the replication mode (where applicable) is now provided on the Hyper-V Explorer. (VFOG-9901)
• Storage QoS. Windows Server 2012 R2 allows Hyper-V to configure some storage parameters on virtual machines, such as the minimum or maximum numbers of input/output operations per second (IOPS). Foglight for Hyper-V now collects the Storage Quality of Service metrics. (VFOG-8539)
