How does the "Catalyst Database Query Execution Time Check" rule work?

There is no threshold that can be set on that rule..

The "Catalayst Database Query Execution Time Check" rule runs a sample batch query against the repository DB.  

The idea of the rule is to get a baseline of what the "normal" response time to this particular query is.  If the query reacts significantly slower than what is deemed a "normal" response time to previous runs of the same sample query, then an alarm is triggered. 

This is why the actual query is not important, because the response time is always going to be compared to previous runs of the same exact query. 

As for changing the threshold, that would defeat the poupose of the rule.  The threshold is dynamic based on the DB's previous responses to the same query.  In otherwords, this rule is there to alert  that DB performance is getting worse from know "normal" behaviour.
