Description
MySQL agent cannot monitor MySQL or MariaDB database with the following error message appearing in the agent log file
ERROR [Quartz[0]-199423] com.sma.mysql.agent.GenericSimpleTask - An unexpected error occurred which may cause undesired behavior. You may want to contact customer support if you see this error again: Error during MonitoringTask for Top_Sessions
java.sql.SQLTransientConnectionException: Could not connect to address=(host=cetbccxdbmbp01r)(port=3306)(type=master) : RSA public key is not available client side (option serverRsaPublicKeyFile not set) -
Resolution
serverRSAPublicKeyFile should be set in either of these two cases:
A) When not using a MariaDB driver, the SSL is not disabled, the public retrieval is set to false, the and local key path is set.
or
B) When using a MariaDB driver and the MariaDB trustServerCertificate is disabled, the SSL is not disabled, public retrieval set to false, and the local key path is set
